Re: 2026 Tesla Model X tremor

Problems with tyre and wheel balance become apparent at certain speeds and under certain acceleration loads. A decent and inexpensive starting point is to check that they are balanced and undamaged.

Additionally, it removes a lot, as the motor and shaft seals would be the only remaining components ...

Re: 2026 Tesla Model X tremor

I merely laid out the steps for identifying and fixing the problem. Rather of complaining about how a grease-monkey couldn't fix the problem after only one test drive (and calling them a "automotive engineer"), why don't you try fixing it yourself?

If that isn't possible, having a professional tyre ...

Re: 2026 Tesla Model X tremor

On a lengthy drive, you won't feel the tremor caused by the half shaft problem. It just happens when the speed reaches 40 to 50 mph when accelerating. Additionally, its development is a bit tedious, so I really hope it won't be an issue in the 2026 edition. That the half shaft repair failed to ...

Re: Is privacy glass standard on all E and C-Class Mercedes now?

Yes, I'm uncertain about the privacy glass. The UK configurator no longer displays the base specs, but our local dealer just got a new one, so it could be worth asking them. Maybe you can get away with no privacy glass at all, but then the inside will have to be all black.

Why is it that Mercedes ...

Re: Is privacy glass standard on all E and C-Class Mercedes now?

While some exterior tints do not permit light inside colours, this is not the case for the C and E classes. I take it that Mercedes would rather not resale vehicles with "bad" paint combinations? A lot of the material these days is artico, not real leather, so be careful.

You have the option to ...

The 325 only rides on wheels that are 17 inches in diameter.
I assume you have the 349mm discs as yours is an HSE.

Review the invoices to determine the actions taken.
Check for further oil changes, which are recommended at 6 or 7 july, to get a sense of how well it has been maintained.
It should have been completed by now, but check the receipt to make sure the components are authentic.

Additionally, whenever I ...

Re: Need a new timing chain for my BMW N57—can I pay for it in installments?

The only places I've heard of something like that are with service plans that charge you every month, so I would be quite shocked if that was available elsewhere.

I'm curious to know how much it has cost to complete the job.

Re: Squeaking at low speed while fully locked into the right side?

Hybrid battery health checks are part of the service process at Toyota. Doubtful if other auto shops go to such lengths. Schedule your next service with Toyota without a doubt.
