Last nite, I checked. the voltage is 7 volts :oops:. At 5.4 volts this morning, I'm assuming the extra drain is from the three "gear selection" lights.

diesel; replace fuel filters every 20,000 to 30,000 miles, or every three years, whichever comes first.

If what you say is true and the vehicle's valves and wiring are still there, then maybe an exhaust valve controller might be used to regulate them without the car having to sense their position? Same as Renntech or any other EVM.
